Drug raids lead to several arrests

Five people were arrrested in Spokane Valley yesterday in two drug raids staged by detectives from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office/Spokane Valley Police Department Investigative Task Force. The first raid was in the 13200 block of East 31st Court where one man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Police recovered two ounces of marijuana, cash and a gun.

The second raid in the 10100 block of East Main netted five arrests, a loaded shotgun, cash and 290 Oxycodone pills worth about $8,600. The resident was arrested for possesion of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and second degree unlawful possession of a firearm. The others present, including a woman who told police she was 10 weeks pregnant, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. A one-month old infant was removed from the home.
