Spokane Valley

Spokane Valley Fire Dept. is tweeting

I mentioned last week that the Spokane Valley Fire Department has joined the Twitter world, but I thought it might be helpful to mention what kinds of calls will be tweeted and which will not. It's set up so that calls are automatically tweeted with a brief description and the general location.

Calls like structure fires, vehicle fires, brush fires, extrications, water rescues, serious auto accidents and those involving hazardous materials will be tweeted. The standard medical calls and minor car accidents will not be mentioned. The tweets will also include the occasional safety message and notifications of new press releases.

You can find the department at @SpokaneValleyFD. And you can always check their web site to get details of calls for the last 96 hours as well as see press releases and pictures.
