Spokane Valley

The times, they are a changin’

The Spokane Valley Fire Department has sent out is annual reminder for everyone to change the batteries in their smoke detectors this weekend when Daylight Saving Time kicks in. Batteries need to be changed once a year and residents should test their smoke detectors at least once a month. And no, that doesn't mean you burn some food to test it. Use the test button. So on Saturday night set your clocks ahead one hour and change those batteries.
