Driver arrested after chase, struggle

The Spokane Valley Police Department arrested a driver after he allegedly led police on a chase that hit 100 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone Sunday night, according to a police press release. David B. Middleton, 44, was finally trapped by patrol cars and then struggled with officers, the release said.

MIddleton was arrested on a laundry list of charges, including eluding police, second-degree assault, possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and third-degree driving with a suspended license.
