A city-wide street sweep is underway in Spokane Valley. The task to clean up debris to ensure storm drains continue to function is expected to last until mid-June. For the first time residents can track where street sweeping is taking place with a new status map on the city's web page. It shows what areas have been completed and which areas are currently being swept. The cost for the city-wide sweep is being partially funded by a $50,000 grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.
