Jewelry stolen in burglary

Jewelry valued at more than $10,000 was reported missing from a home in the 10800 block of East 35th in Spokane Valley Wednesday. According to a police press release, the homeowner came home around 5 p.m. and noticed an open sliding glass door. A jewelry box was found open and several rings, necklaces, diamond studs and other items were missing.

A neighbor reported that he didn't see anything suspicious but said he wasn't home between 12:30 and 3 p.m., police said. Anyone who might have seen anything in the neighborhood is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
