What happens when you give an OB/GYN a sledgehammer
Dr. Lori Joy, senior partner in Spokane Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology, is used to much more delicate procedures in her daily practice. Yet on Wednesday, she took a mallet to a wall inside the OB/GYN wing celebrating the remodeling that just began there. The hospital is remodeling its labor and delivery unit and turning the building into a new Women's Center.
"This will give us better amenities for our patients," said Joy. The remodeling is expected to be done in January at a cost of nearly $1.8 million.
