Historic preservation coming to Spokane Valley?

The Spokane Valley City Council is contemplating a historic preservation ordinance that will allow for volunteer listing of historic homes. Some property owners may also become eligible for a property tax credit, if they restore the property.

To be listed on the City of Spokane Register of Historic Places, a home or building must be 50 years of age or older, and "possess integrity of architectural design, craftsmanship, and historic character."

So - which Spokane Valley homes, buildings and places would you like to preserve? And what is historic? Comment here or send me an email at piah@spokesman.com
