The Liberty Lake City Council is holding a special meeting today at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 22710 E. Country Vista Drive. The purpose of the meeting is to amend an interlocal agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The Spokane County Fire District 8 board of commissioners will hold a speical meeting today at 5:30 p.m. at Station 82, 12100 E. Palouse Highway. The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidates that have applied to fill the vacant commissioner seat. The public is invited to attend.

The trustees will be discussing strategic planning. The meeting is open to the public, but no public comment will be taken. The only item on the agenda is a discussion led by consultant Stan McNutt on the pros and cons of different types of government, inlucing strong mayor and city manager forms of government. McNutt is known locally as the former Spokane Valley deputy city manager (2003). The meeting is at City Hall, 22710 E. Country Vista Drive, so head on over and listen in on the discussion.
