The Fairfield community yard sale is running today and Saturday, so stop by if you happen to be down that way. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days and maps of the sale locations will be available at the post office next to City Hall on Main St. To reach Fairfield, head south from Spokane Valley on Highway 27. Take a left on Main St. when you arrive in Fairfield.
I can attest that the trip down to Fairfield is a nice drive. The picture above is an SR file photo taken just south of Fairfield.
Shoppers, grab your wallets and your walking shoes. The annual Liberty Lake Community Yard Sale is Saturday. This year there are 178 registered locations to visit all over town. There have been excellent deals to be found in years past. There will be food and other vendors in Pavillion Park at Molter Road and Country Vista Drive for when you need a break from browsing.
Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A map of participating locations is available online here if you want to plan your route ahead of time. You will not be able to drive up to a sale and park. You need to plan on parking on the fringes and walking in to the sales. Be a kind parker - don't park in front of fire hydrants or driveways. Have fun!
If you are in the market for good deals, check out the annual community yard sale Friday and Saturday in Rockford. Residents will be having individual yard sales all over town. People who don't want to use their yards or live outside the city limits will set up shop in the park on First Street to sell their wares. It might be worth a drive down Highway 27 at some point to check things out and see what is available. People can pick up a map showing all the sale locations at local businesses or City Hall (during Friday business hours). The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Here's hoping there's no rain!
