Chiefs have tough weekend ahead

The Spokane Chiefs will put their eight-game winning streak on the line this weekend with three tough games in three nights.

The Chiefs, ranked second in the media poll this week, host Seattle tonight and play the Thunderbirds in Seattle on Sunday, with a home game against the top-ranked Vancouver Giants on Saturday at 7.

Steve Ewen’s (Vancouver Province) Dub-Hub blog has this entry about backup goalie Kraymer Barnstable earning the start against Spokane. Seem bizzare, considering starter Tyson Sexsmith is the top goalie in the league? Ewen explains why it could give the Giants something to rally around.

That’s all I have for now, I’ll be heading to the Arena soon.
