Chiefs hold on to top ranking
The Spokane Chiefs scored a hat trick Monday, earning their third-straight top ranking in the Western Hockey League poll released by the Western Major Junior Hockey Writer's Association.
The U.S. Division-leading Chiefs are on a four-game winning streak and are atop the Western Conference with a 17-3-1-2 record, 37 points and an .804 winning percentage through 23 games. They earned 16 of 18 first-place votes and 393 total points in the poll.
