Hall of Fame careers

One of the advantages of seniority in the Prep sportswriting business is having the privilege to watch Hall of Fame athletes play in high school before they became famous.

Guys like John Stockton, Ryne Sandberg and two who will be inducted next week into the Inland Northwest Sports Hall of Fame, Jeanne Helfer and Steve Emtman, were no different from your youngsters, playing for the glory of their school and for the fun of sport.
