No Crimson and Gray game

COUGARS

I thought I should update y’all on the fact football coach Paul Wulff has decided to cancel Saturday’s scheduled Spring Game, traditionally a WSU Mom’s Weekend spectacle, and make it a short practice. In a news release, he cited injuries and a lack of depth as his reasoning.

“As we continue to implement new offensive and defensive schemes, the coaching staff and I felt it was best to take advantage of the final practice as another teaching opportunity,” Wulff said in the release. “We are banged up at a few positions, particularly running back, where we have only one healthy body. Everyone would like to have another day to scrimmage, but at this point we are better off using that time for practice.”

The practice will include 45 minutes of offense versus defense, but it will be non-tackling. The practice will last from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., after which players will be available for autographs.
