Zags tumble in polls

A couple of weeks ago, Gonzaga was undefeated and ranked No. 4. Following a loss to No. 2 UConn on Dec. 20th in Seattle, the Zags actually went up one spot in the A.P. poll, from 8th to 7th.

But a home loss to Portland State last Tuesday -- Gonzaga's third loss in four games -- sent the Bulldogs sliding down the rankings. GU is 16th in A.P. and 17th in ESPN/USA Today. More here.

The Bulldogs returned to practice Saturday in preparation for a New Year's Eve road game against Utah. After Utah, the Bulldogs visit Tennessee on Jan. 7, a rematch of GU's 83-74 victory in the Old Spice Classic championship Nov. 30. Tennessee is ranked 14th by A.P and tied for 18th by ESPN/USA Today.
