A quick post this morning, with a potpourri of links, including to UW's win last night through Oregon's football win and on to a new job for a former Cougar, though not in that order. Read on.
• Let's start with the new football coach at New Mexico State, now former UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker. He was smart enough to make his first hire a guy whose offense gave the Bruins fits, former WSU quarterback and quarterbacks coach – and play caller – Timm Rosenbach.
• The Ducks lifted the Pac-10's bowl record to 3-0 – and erased any thought of the conference being soft – with a second-half comeback over Oklahoma State. You can find game stories here and here, along with a blog tease to a John Canzano's column, which I'm not sure was supposed to run today or tomorrow, since I can't find it on-line.
• Washington won its final nonconference basketball game last night, but lost guard Elston Turner for the weekend. More on the game here and here. Freelancer Howie Stalwick also has this WSU notebook.
