Cougars turn in year’s best performance

COUGARS

This was about as good as the Cougars could do. They played their best game of the season – considering the venue, the importance, the opponent – and exorcised some Oregon ghosts.

I'll tell you, I haven't seen players as happy about a win this season. This one meant a lot. OK, back to why we're here. My unedited game story follows. And, by the way, I know why the Cougars won. Dick Bennett is coming out this week to watch, according to Tony, and he didn't want to come out after a defeat. At least that's what he told his son.
