Early road swing is turning out positive

COUGARS

Remember when the Pac-10 season started and there was a hue and cry about the Cougars having to open with three games on the road? Against UW, USC and UCLA of all teams? How some started to rail about the conference trying to ensure an 0-3 start?

Well, two-thirds of the opening stretch is done and WSU has a chance to have three conference wins before it plays a home game. But of course the third one – tomorrow at Pauley against the fifth-ranked Bruins – will be the toughest. Read on for thoughts about last night’s win over USC and links.
