White on white and nowhere near perfect

COUGARS • UPDATED: 10:15 A.M.

We don’t shovel the snow on the deck off our bedroom. It’s a summer place to sit, not a winter. So when I got home from Phoenix yesterday and saw the 14 inches of snow on that deck – it was clear when I left – I almost got right back on a plane to head south. Except the airport was closed. So here I am, stuck in my home, hoping I can get to the office today for a meeting concerning on-line issues. Hoping I don’t get stuck in a snowdrift somewhere like the Southwest plane I saw while landing at Spokane International yesterday.

For those of you who wondered, the basketball team got home OK Saturday night. For those of you who asked about my thoughts on the Seattle Times stories concerning UW’s football program under Rick Neuheisel, read on.
