Gonzaga’s 2-0 week resulted in a climb to No. 15 in the A.P. Top 25. The Zags (8-2) are tied for 15th with Georgia Tech in the ESPN/USA Today poll. GU was 21st and 22nd, respectively, in those polls last week.

It was a tough week for teams that were ranked just in front of Gonzaga in the Dec. 7 polls. Texas A&M, Washington, UNLV, Cincinnati and Wisconsin dropped games. No. 24 Washington is the only Pac-10 team ranked.
Duke, Gonzaga’s opponent Saturday in New York City, is No. 7 in both polls. Saint Mary’s received 17 votes in the ESPN/USA Today poll; none in the A.P voting. Three two-loss teams are rated ahead of Gonzaga: No. 10 North Carolina, No. 12 Michigan State and No. 14 Connecticut.

Go ZAGS! Great to see #15. Good luck at MSG against Duke. It would be great to see an upset on national TV!
