WSU leads 36-30 at the half

COUGARS

A quick halftime note. Yes, the crowd here is loud – at times. The loudest may have been when the guy wearing purple was put down on the court by Butch during a time out. During the game, the loudest was after Marcus Capers’ fastbreak layup that gave WSU an eight-point lead. The Cougars led by as many as nine, the last time at 34-25 on Charlie Enquist’s two free throws with 1:44 before intermission. Enquist was playing because WSU can’t handle Tasmin Mitchell, who owns the offensive glass (six offensive rebounds) and has helped get DeAngelo Casto (two) and James Watson (three) into foul trouble. We’ll be back after the game.
