We (heart) today … right

COUGARS

There's something scary about Valentine's Day. And this year more than ever. Think about it. Friday the 13th, then Valentine's Day? Coincidence? I think not. Anyhow, any day that's symbol is a heart and the mascot shoots arrows, well that scares us old guys. So let's concentrate on the basketball. That will take our mind off any type of worry about a card or … crud, forgot to get a card. Well, let's get this post done and go find one. Read on.
••••••••••

• We had our advance in this morning's S-R, though you can find more on last night's blog post. Freelancer Howie Stalwick followed up on our postseason story with a piece of his own. And the Oregonian's Paul Buker talked with Mychal Thompson after practice yesterday. Finally, there's a quick preview in the Corvallis Gazette Times.

• One last link. Seems the Eastern Washington seniors could transfer without penalty this year, due to the postseason probation the NCAA invoked this week. And guess which local school is asking about some of them? John Blanchette has the story.

•••

• That's all for this morning. We'll be back before the game with thoughts on the matchup. Till then …
