Idaho rallied from a 13-point deficit to shock Boise State on Wednesday night, winning 56-54 at the Broncos’ Taco Bell Arena. The Vandals knocked off BSU for the second time this season after Marvin Jefferson snapped a tie with a putback with 4.3 seconds left.
After Idaho beat BSU in Moscow last month, Bronco junior guard Anthony Thomas emphatically guaranteed he wouldn’t lose to UI the rest of his career. But Thomas once again struggled in comparison to rival point guard Mac Hopson, who had 18 points. Thomas finished with 10.

It was a great game. The Vandals just kept at it and cut the lead until they pulled even with a couple minutes left.

Great win Vandals. Way to sink the free throws when they mattered most. The Vandals should be competing next year for the WAC title as they return a majority of their lineup (5 Juniors). It would be funny if Anthony Thomas never wins a game against the Vandals for the rest of his career.
