Hopson voted WAC Player of the Week

Mac Hopson, Idaho’s standout point guard, earned WAC player-of-the-week honors today after leading the Vandals to wins over Boise State and Cal State Northridge. The Washington State transfer has been the catalyst for Idaho’s turnaround — the club is 13-13 after going 8-21 last year.

Wow. Both Palouse schools post wins in tough places and both schools boast conference player-of-the-week point guards.

Nice to see the team grind out some wins even when other parts of the game aren’t working for them. I hope they can win on the road this week — that would be huge to get a couple wins before the last two at home and the conference tourney.
