Zags work overtime to end skid
Gonzaga had its chances in regulation, but finally finished off Tennessee in overtime, ending a three-game losing streak with an 89-79 victory in front of 22,326 at Thompson-Boling Arena on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs, who missed free throw after free throw in regulation, hit 9 of 10 in overtime (Steven Gray was 5 of 6, Austin Daye 4 of 4) and pulled away.
Matt Bouldin had 26 points, equaling his career high. Daye added 20 points, Josh Heytvelt 15 and Gray 14.
UT's Cameron Tatum finished with 22 points, 19 in the first half. Tyler Smith added 17 and Wayne Chism 15.
