Mediocrity behind leaders

After tonight's Greater Spokane League boys basketball turn of events I guess you have to tell it like it is. Behind Gonzaga Prep (12-1) and Shadle Park (11-1) mediocrity reigns. Both won fairly comfortably tonight, although watching the helter-skelter play between the Highlanders and University was a bit unnerving. Then there was this - East Valley 63, Ferris 61 in overtime as the Knights rained 3-pointers and the Saxons made just 8 of 14 free throws - AT HOME.

LC completed its sweep of North Central (by a total of seven points) and Rogers outraced Mead in another game where teams try to impose their will (style) and defense becomes an afterthought. Entertaining, but not conducive to consistency.

So here we are: North Central 7-5, Ferris 7-6, CV and Rogers 6-6, LC 6-7, Mead 5-7, Mt. Spokane 4-7. Flip a coin.
