GU stays unbeaten in WCC with 83-69 win
Josh Heytvelt scored a season-high 25 points to help Gonzaga defeat Pepperdine 83-69 Thursday at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu.
No. 23 Gonzaga won its fifth straight to hike its record to 13-4 overall, 4-0 in the WCC. Saint Mary's crushed San Diego 65-42 in San Diego for its 15th straight win. Saint Mary's is 5-0 in conference, followed by GU at 4-0 and San Diego at 4-1.
