Northwest Nuggets and Cougs unite

They still have to sign on the dotted line, but when The Tacoma News-Tribune listed its “Northwest Nuggets” football standouts, one telling note is that 8 of 22 players named have committed to WSU, including GSL players Travis Long, Gonzaga Prep, and Chris Mastin, Lewis and Clark. Here’s the list, which includes Lake City tight end Billy Sanders (who transfered from Arizona this year), a UCLA commit.

The man brought Erik Meyer and Eric Kimble to Cheney, Wash. Give him the keys to a Div. I-A team in the Pac-10 and watch the magic happen.

I’m pretty sure he could sell some kids on committing to Gonzaga’s football team too.

The analysis on Harthun seems fair, however I am curioius how those flaws differ from Lodwick? Abe has struggled mightely on the defensive end. It seems like even when Abe hits a three, which has been few and far between, he gets worked on defense for multiple buckets.

Since Abe could not throw the ball in the ocean right now, why doesn’t Harthun get a chance at Abe’s minutes? The only thing I can think of is Abe’s size advantage on Harthun.
