WSU hopes not to get snowed under at UW

COUGARS

We are in Seattle, where the snow level is expected to plummet this afternoon and evening, which is always fun over here. Ah, well. As long as it's warm in Hec Ed – it will be, in more ways than one – and the electricity stays on, we'll be able to give you the coverage you deserve. For what's being said about today's basketball game – there is only one Apple Cup in my mind and it's played outdoors – read on.
••••••••••

• We had our advance this morning, along with a little more at the bottom of last night's post. So there's that. … There's also a lot from the papers on this side. The Times has this Bob Condotta story - Bob's back from spring training, where it was at least 70, just in time for the cold front to hit – on the Huskies' Pac-10 title, and when they started to believe. Hint: It was on the east side of the state. (The Times also had this coverage of UW's win in the women's game.) … The P-I, which seems to be moving toward a web-based product maybe as early as next week, had Dan Raley's feature on the Huskies' three seniors. … Don Ruiz examines the stakes for both teams. … The Mercury News' Jon Wilner picks the Cougars to win. ... Finally, the Oregonian has its usual Pac-10 roundup.

• That's it for now. We'll be back before the game with our usual pregame thoughts. What do you think WSU has to do today to win? Besides rebound, of course, which was a point of emphasis at practice this week. Until then …
