WSU’s latest defeat, the day after

COUGARS

Our travel plans necessitated rising at 3:45 a.m. Palouse Standard Time today to make our flight, and even with that, it seemed as if I didn’t have enough time to get going. I did download some links, and we offer them to you on the link. Read on.

• Washington State: When I got to the Phoenix airport for my 7 a.m. flight to Seattle – and before you start ragging on me for such an early departure, I will say when I booked the flight it was scheduled to leave at 7:30, and as we all know, 30 minutes can’t make a world of difference – I pulled up our site, expecting to read my junk on the web. Lo and behold, nothing. Now that’s when you know it’s early, when your interweb (as Tony Kornheiser calls it) isn’t working. … Of course, when we got here to Seattle, it was running just fine, so here is our game story, our notebook (both of which you can read in their unedited versions here), our grades, scoring and statistics. … Freelancer Howie Stalwick had his gamer and this notebook. … By the way, if you want to read my story in the Seattle Times, you can. … From Arizona, there is this game story and a Greg Hansen column.

• That’s all for this morning. We’ll be back this evening with our look back and follow. Until then …

If you receive the opening kickoff, you can’t be down by 6 at the end of the play. The cougs might try it once.

There is a good column by John Canzano, in the Oregonian, on how Mike Riley is finding a way to get results. I hope that WSU’s next coach uses OSU as a blueprint to get the program back on track.
