WSU leads 42-24 at half

COUGARS

Well, WSU is leading handily. That’s about all you can say about the first half. It’s a sloppy basketball game (17 turnovers combined, 10 by L-C State), but that could have been predicted with all that’s new here at Beasley. New coach, new players, new system, new uniforms. One thing that’s the same. Klay Thompson can still shoot it. He’s also improved his ball-handling (as we’ve noted before) which is allowing him to get to the rim – and foul line – more often. Of his 14 points, three came from the line. We’ll be back after we’ve written our story.
