A packed Tuesday morning

COUGARS • UPDATED: 11:12 A.M.

We've got basketball games to go over, including a huge upset in the Pac-10. Football, that's still going on. There is a lot of stuff on the link. Read on.

••••••••••

• Washington State: We'll start with last night's basketball victory over Eastern Washington. We had some notes and a raw version of the game story on this link, where we neglected to mention EWU out-rebounded the Cougars by seven. I do think the one consistent aspect of WSU early this year will be its inconsistency. That's a product of youth. ... FYI, Klay Thompson and Reggie Moore played 37 and 36 minutes, respectively. ... Here's our game story from the paper. ... Freelancer Howie Stalwick had this story. ... Turning over to football, we had this first look at Oregon State. ... The Oregonian had a short examination of WSU.

• UPDATE: Paul Wulff said on the Pac-10 conference call linebacker Jason Stripling, who was arrested over the weekend, will not play the first quarter Saturday as punishment.

• Around the Pac-10: Not a lot today. ... Washington: Coach Steve Sarkisian admits he and Jake Locker have talked, and will talk, about next year's NFL draft. ... The way the Huskies played at OSU, this bye week may be a tough one. ... Oregon State: A quick look at how everything is stacked in the Beavers' favor, except, maybe, the weather. They are playing WSU. Of course everything is stacked in their favor. ... Oregon: What's going on with LeGarrette Blount? Who knows. ... California: There is no chance Jahvid Best will play in the Big Game this Saturday. ... Stanford: The Cardinal are playing Cal this week? No, we want to talk about running it up against USC. ... USC: The rout has Trojan players questioning themselves. ...UCLA: The Bruins have some questions about their running game. ... And now, after losing at home in double overtime to Cal State Fullerton, some about their basketball team. ... Arizona State: No matter who plays quarterback, the game plan remains the same. ... Arizona: Three-game stretch to finish will define the season.

• That's all for the morning. We'll be back later today with football items. Until then …
