Finally, the WSU, Pac-10 links

COUGARS

After battling a balky internet connection – here that Comcast? It’s been that way off and on for weeks – we finally got our links figured out. Not a lot of news this morning, but what we’ve found, we’ve passed on.

••••••••••

• Washington State: We received a nice e-mail last night explaining we had the line wrong in our first look post. The e-mailer was right. Misread the website. Sorry. It’s fixed – with the official line the S-R uses – on the web now. … Freelancer Howie Stalwick has a Bob Robertson feature in the New Tribune this morning and a notebook on Cougfan as well. … There’s a great statistical analysis of the quarterbacks’ performances against Stanford on CougCenter. … Out of Hawaii, this week’s opponents, this story will make the players happy they playing at Qwest - if they weren’t before. And WSU drops the 2011 game in the Islands. … It was a productive recruiting weekend.

• Around the Pac-10: ESPN.com’s Ted Miller believes the Cougars and the Huskies will win this week. … Each week, after the games, Buster Sports Nick Daschel rates the Pac-10’s coaches. … Washington: The glow over Saturday’s loss still hasn’t faded. Jerry Brewer wonders what would have happened if the Dawgs had actually won. … The secondary is undergoing change according to Tacoma’s Todd Milles. … Oregon State: The schedule must be weak when playing UNLV in week two is considered a huge step up. … Oregon: Usually I don’t do this, but with no Cal or Stanford news – again – I’ve got three, yes three, stories on the Ducks. They’re all unique in their own way. There’s the practice story we feel obligated to pass along, a Ken Goe column about the Oregon offensive woes and, finally, the best of the bunch, from longtime Register-Guard reporter Bob Clark, this column that takes a contrarian’s view of the LeGarrette Blount suspension. … Cal: One more day without news. … Stanford: From here as well. … USC: The Trojans must find a way to stop Terrelle Pryor, without opening other opportunities for the Buckeyes. …UCLA: Just love the headline on this story. … Arizona State: Surprisingly, I couldn’t find anything. … Arizona: After saying all week they would play both quarterbacks in the opener, the Wildcats didn’t play Nick Foles a single down against Central Michigan.

• That’s all for this morning. It’s a busy day so we better get at it. We’ll be back after practice. Until then …
