As the story says, even though you might not have heard about it, and it's an injury with a strange name, it is deadly if left untreated. At the very least, according to doctors, the longer you wait for treatment, the more affected an area – like a leg – becomes, meaning if it gets too bad the loss of a limb can occur. That's why the surgery is done so quickly. So, though Montgomery is out for the year and possibly may never get to play football again, it could have been worse, much worse. ...
