Despite there being no Washington State football practice yesterday, and none today, it is quite a busy day on the Web, even with WSU items. So let's get right at it, with a quick spin around the Pac-10 after we check out what's going on in Pullman. Read on.

• With practice being cancelled – OK, postponed to next Monday morning would be a more precise term – yesterday, we didn't have as many notes as usual. But we had some here last night. We also had the unedited version of our story on the offense, which appeared in print as well. ... As we told you yesterday, Michael Harthun has decided to transfer to PSU, which is covered in more detail in his hometown paper. ... With the NFL draft on tap this weekend, starting Thursday, former Cougar Kenny Alfred sits patiently in Gig Harbor, waiting for a call. ... That's it from WSU. Let's move on to other Pac-10 items. ... We made a big deal about the BCS meetings yesterday and they are still going on. ESPN.com's Ted Miller has some good coverage from the Pac-10 perspective and how expansion – powered by the Big Ten – might affect others. ... The fallout from Oregon's long, public search for a basketball coach yet is starting to pile up, with Matt Humphrey the latest player to leave. The search is wearing on players' parents. ... Oregon State has a basketball coach, though the Beavers might have been left at the altar if not for Craig Robinson's wife Kelly. ... Back to football, with ASU losing a key offensive lineman and posting the scoring parameters for Saturday's final scrimmage. ... Out of Los Angeles, UCLA is trying to upgrade its running game and USC's Matt Barkley is interested in the outcome of the NFL draft.
