Report: Moscow police investigating UI football players
Several University of Idaho football players are being investigated by Moscow poice for possibe battery after a 20-year-old Lapwai, Idaho, man reported being the victim of an unprovoked attacked at a Moscow party last weekend, the Lewiston Tribune reported this morning. Read on for details.

The man, Lamont Phillips, told the Tribune he was in the hospital for more than a day after the fight occurred early Saturday morning in a post-football season party on North Polk Street in Moscow. Phillips said he sustained a concussion, fractured orbital bone, seven stitches and bruises during the alleged attack.
"I was just sitting there with my cousin, and this dude comes up and bumps me, pretty much looking for a fight," Phillips told the Tribune. "I start walking down the stairs, and he shoved me again and I almost fell down the stairs."
Phillips said he did not fight back after being attacked.
David Duke, Assistant Chief of the Moscow Police Department, said at least two football players are being investigated as persons of interest.
No players have been identified, according to the Tribune, and UI publicist Becky Paull said the school is aware of the investigation and is waiting to take action.
