Eastern turns back Hornets in OT

Cliff Ederaine scored a career-high 22 points and teammate Jeffrey Forbes added 21 as Eastern Washington opened Big Sky Conference play with an 88-79 overtime  victory over Sacramento State at Reese Court Wednesday night.

Eastern (4-8 overall, 1-0 in the Big Sky) also got 12 points from Laron Griffin, who sat out the first half of the game for unexplained reasons, and 11 from Glen Dean in a game that was uglied up by 64 fouls that resulted in the disqualifications of five Sac State players.
