Shock trade two, add WR Holmes

Spokane was busy Thursday, signing former Cleveland Gladiators receiver Brent Holmes, who returned a kick for a touchdown in the closing seconds to beat the Shock early in the 2010 season.

Holmes, who will be entering his fourth AFL season, had 110 catches for nearly 1,300 yards last season. The Shock have nine receivers on their roster, not including former Milwaukee Iron standout Nate Forse, who has yet to pass his physical but is expected to join the team.

The Shock also traded DL Torrey Davis and QB RJ Archer to Kansas City to improve their claim order position.
