Monday prep thread

Just returned from a week-long furlough. I’ve actually been away from the preps longer than that when you consider I had three glorious days staffing figure skating the week prior to my furlough.

Lots of stuff going on, obviously, and February means we’ve reached postseason for some teams with district and regional tournaments looming for others.

I’m in the process of tracking down all the district/regional info for girls and boys basketball and wrestling for Spokane and North Idaho leagues.

Click the tab below for more.

Below, I’ve attached the updated scoring leaders for the Greater Spokane League. A big thanks to former S-R staffer Mike Vlahovich who has compiled and monitored the scoring leaders.

AT FIRST GLANCE, the two biggest games this week appear to happen Tuesday and Thursday.

** Tuesday, Lewiston’s girls visit Coeur d’Alene at 7:30 in a game that could decide the 5A Inland Empire League championship and top seeding to the regional tournament.

** Thursday, Mead’s boys visit Gonzaga Prep in a game that could decide the GSL championship. Tipoff is 7:15.
