Long Beach rolling at half
Dan Monson is certainly enjoying his return to Moscow so far. His Long Beach State team closed the half on a 21-5 blitz and leads 35-21 over Idaho at Cowan Spectrum. Monson, the former Gonzaga and Minnesota coach, is an Idaho alum and son of former Vandal coach Don Monson. The 49ers, just 12-14 on the season, got 19 combined points from T.J. Robinson and Greg Plater. Idaho has 10 turnovers and has been plagued by poor shooting from its guards. Luiz Toledo scored eight early points and leads UI at the half.
