Since taking over the Eastern Washington University men’s basketball program almost three years ago, Kirk Earlywine has labeled several of the Eagles’ victories “huge,” or “big.”
And considering the state of EWU basketball when he took over, he was spot on with his assessments.
But on Sunday afternoon, in Bozeman, Mont., the Eagles hung up a Big Sky Conference road win that probably surpasses any in Earlywine’s short tenure by upsetting Montana State 75-73 on a late bucket by freshman guard Glen Dean.
