Katie Baker out for season
Word from Montana, freshman Katie Baker (Lake City) is out for the season after suffering a knee injury late in the Lady Griz overtime loss at Eastern Washington Friday night. Baker had a double-double when she went down near the end of regular, her third straight in three Big Sky Conference games. Baker was leading the Grizzlies with 11.5 and 6.9 rebounds a game.
The new - or the return to the old - schedule that has Big Sky Conference teams playing Friday-Saturday instead of Thursday-Saturday to save money and class time, isn't what it seems and coaches are extremely unhappy, according to a Bill Spletlz story in The Missoulian.
