Quarterback Kyle Rowley, who joined Spokane roughly at mid-season of its inaugural campaign in 2006 and led the Shock to an ArenaCup championship, has signed with the Shock.

Rowley, playing for ex-Shock coach Chris Siegfried at Arkansas, was the 2008 arenafootball2 offensive player of the year after passing for 4,393 yards and 89 touchdowns. In 2009, Rowley set an af2 single-season passing record with 4,693 yards.

Rowley is one of four quarterbacks on the Shock roster. He'll compete for the starting job with  ex-Eastern Washington Eagle Erik Meyer, former Boston College quarterback Chris Crane and 2009 Shock No. 2 QB Casey Hansen.
