Nevada hands UI fourth straight loss

The Vandals once again played an upper-echelon WAC team close on Saturday night, but nevertheless faltered for the fourth consecutive time in conference action. The Wolf Pack nipped Idaho 76-68, after recovering from a 10-point deficit. The Vandals are now 8-8 and 1-4 in the WAC.

UI coach Don Verlin started Kyle Barone ahead of Marvin Jefferson at the center spot (Barone responded with nine rebounds and four points) and benched reserve guard/wing Shawn Henderson for a violation of team rules. Afterward, Verlin had some strong comments, saying certain players were hard to coach and discipline was an issue.

Mac Hopson led the Vandals with 16 points and Steffan Johnson had 13. Kashif Watson mustered just two points on 1 of 8 shooting. More stats can be found here.
