Oregon picked first, WSU last in Pac-10 poll

No surprise, WSU was picked to finish last in the Pac-10 media poll. For more, read on.

• The 35 voters in this year’s Pac-10 poll picked seven different teams to win the conference (that’s a record). Oregon led the way with 15 first-place votes and 314 points. USC was right behind with 311 points and 12 first-place votes. After that, the other first-place nods went to Oregon State (3), Arizona (2) and Stanford, Washington and UCLA one apiece. Here is the list with the number of points received on a 10-9-8, etc., system. …

6. Washington…209

7. Cal…175

• With 39 votes, that means four voters did not vote Washington State 10th. And, no, I’m not one of those four.

The cougars will not finish last, more like 7,8, or 9,th. I wonder what these so called smart pickers will say at the end of the year? This cougar team are ready to kick butt. Have faith out there coug fans. GO COUGS

wow dickkenn pass me the drink you are sippin so i can get some of that optimisim..

I dont see how we wont be last but more importantly for the cougs will it be last with competitive games or last like the last 2 years where you look like a Div II team..

Suprised UW is 6. No way. SR QB with some decent talent around them only big question mark is their defense. Unfortunately I think UW is a top 3 in the pac 10 team this year. Stanford is overhyped. Luck is great but they lost gerheart and are getting a lot of credit for talented recruiting classes.
