EWU kicks off Red Turf Project

Former Eastern Washignton University all-American offensive tackle Michael Roos and his wife, Katherine, were on had at Woodward Field on Saturday to take part in "turf-breaking" ceremonies for the school's Red Turf Project.

The project is expected to be completed in time for the Eagles to debut their artificial red plahying surface on Sept. 18, when they host Big Sky rival Montana in what will then be named Roos Field.
