High school All-Star football game in Everett Saturday

Everett Herald sports writer Mike Cane had this tidbit about the East-West All-Star high school football game coming up on Saturday in Everett:

Archbishop Murphy football coach Dave Ward was at Everett Memorial Tuesday. He watched his nephew, quarterback/defensive back Travis Ward of Mt. Spokane High, practice with the East team. Because of schedule conflicts and the distance between them, Dave never saw Travis, a Pacific Lutheran University recruit, play a high school game in person. But on Saturday Ward will finally get to see his nephew compete.

As reported back in The Spokesman-Review in April, here are the local players chosen to play in the game include:

Jake Miller, punter/kicker, Central Valley; Levi Taylor, running back/defensive back, Lewis and Clark; Bo Tully, DB/wide receiver, Mead; Travis Ward, quarterback/DB, Mt. Spokane;  Colten Williams, WR/DB, Mt. Spokane; Trevor Poole, offensive line/defensive line, Ferris; Ashton Boothroyd, OL/DL, Mt. Spokane; Brent Anderson, center/DL, Mt. Spokane; and Kjelby Oiland, OL/DL, Ferris.
