Oregon leads 29-27 at half

COUGARS

Sorry, but there are no stats here at Mac Court, and the ESPN box isn't working, so I had to spend a few minutes figuring out my own. Anyhow, the Cougars are once again shooting poorly – I have them 8 of 29 (27 percent) from the field, 1 of 12 from beyond the arc. However, they are getting to the free throw line, hitting 10 of 13 from there (What is it about this place? Last year the Cougars set a Pac-10 record here). They also are holding their own on the boards (20 apiece) and taking care of the ball (just six). WSU had the ball at the end of the half with a chance to tie, but Reggie Moore made a big mistake, taking the ball into the key and throwing up a wild shot with 7 seconds left. The Ducks took advantage, throwing it up to Matt Humphrey, who was fouled by Marcus Capers with 1.9 left. Humphrey missed both free throws, but Capers' foul was his third. That might make a difference in the second half. Klay Thompson and DeAngelo each have 11 points for WSU. We'll be back at the end of the game. Until then ...
