Gonzaga rides first half to 67-60 win
Win and move
on. The Gonzaga Bulldogs accomplished that crucial NCAA tournament task
Thursday in Buffalo, N.Y., entertaining the 16,000 or so in the HSBC Arena with
their first-half built first-round victory. The Zags played superbly in the
first half and not so well in the second, using a lot of their at-one-spot
18-point lead but prevailing. Four Zag starters – Matt Bouldin (17 points),
Steven Gray (15), Elias Harris (13) and Robert Sacre (13) – were in double
figures and the fifth, Demetri Goodsen was instrumental in GU shooting 50
percent from the floor. The Seminoles, who finish the season 22-10, were led by reserve Deividas Dulkys, with 14 points. Jim will be back in a
couple hours with the game story.
