WSU headed to Arkansas

Washington State earned a two seed and will be heading for Fayetteville, Arkansas, where the NCAA baseball tourney will start Friday. I am always astounded by the way the NCAA seeds teams, with Stanford a two seed at Cal State Fullerton. Though WSU finished ahead of Stanford, they end up with the longer trip because Fullerton is considered a higher seed than Arkansas, I'm sure. The four-team regional includes host, No. 3 seed Kansas State (WSU's first-round opponent at 36-20) and No. 4 seed Grambling, which has a losing record. WSU played Arkansas at Norman last year in the NCAAs and lost 10-3. It was the fourth loss of the season to the Razorbacks. The Pac-10 received eight bids.
